I guess it's been nearly 10 years since the idea of the FD Centre came to me as my escape from a corporate life that, like so many of you will know from your own experience, had become pretty dull. Looking now at the business, who could have known we'd have come so far from such humble beginnings? The thought of branching out to the other side of the world and launching a similar model in Australia wasn't even a glint in the eye.

Enough reminiscing. I promised our marketing team (Andy specifically) that this article wouldn't be one of those "aren't we great" bits of the newsletter - and he's right; launching in Australia brings many benefits to you, our clients, not to mention an exciting momentum for the entire team of The FD Centre; the managing principals, principals (or finance directors performing the client work) and the many partners we work with across the UK. Let me explain why...

1. Additional Resource and Information

Yes we will be adding to the network of experienced finance directors working with The FD Centre. This will mean that our team, working in your business, will have greater resource to pull on when needed. It's one of our strengths and, for those who enjoy working with one of our finance directors in their business, you'll know that having this additional experience behind your finance director really does add significant value to our service and effect your bottom line significantly.

2. New Business Opportunities for All

Referrals across our business has enabled us to reach a level of over 200 clients, 100+ principals. We enjoy sharing and giving and many clients will have seen this first hand with introductions of service providers and even new clients coming through the network we have worked hard to build. The growth into Australia will increase our partner network and create new opportunities for all.

3. Growth and Success

The very fact that we are growing not only in the UK but overseas proves our success. We all know clients and partners want to be part of something successful - The FD Centre itself enjoys working with fast growth and successful businesses so I guess it creates a culture that we are fitting into. What's more it means internally we are experiencing the same as you in your business - going through the same pains and overcoming the same issues, this makes us even better equipped to help your business and we are delighted to share our findings with you.
