Stephen Copplin, Managing Director - CFO Centre Australia

Stephen is an experienced senior executive having held senior financial positions with Philips and News Corporation prior to growing his own successful software company.

His professional career spans numerous industry sectors, including finance, insurance, investment banking, technology, media and creative industries. During his time, Stephen has successfully managed finance operations for multi-national corporations, negotiated multi-million dollar international acquisitions and divestments and built start-ups from inception through to trade sale.

As a result of his successes, Stephen has played a pivotal role as mentor, investor, advisor, and director to a portfolio of businesses assisting them with their growth and succession planning.

He also holds several non executive board roles within the manufacturing, education and not for profit sectors.

Stephen saw a need to provide Chief Financial Officer expertise to many of the organisations he has been working with and established the CFO centre in 2009 to provide high quality experienced finance professionals to the business community.

Stephen is an FCPA, FTIA, MAICD, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland in the Business School and The IT and Electrical Engineering School.
